Holistic treatments for the cold season

I've already had to deal with 2 colds this month. Fortunately I've received some really good advice on treating it holistically. With a trip to the health food&supplement store and a modest bill I've picked up everything I need to get me through the winter months (hopefully). I'm going to list the basics of what I'm doing here, and over the months I'll report on it's success and on anything I tweak.
For starters I've up'ed my in take of vitamins, specifically omega-3 and vitamin C. I was told that both those things helps not only your body, but your mood. On top of that I've been taking a multi-vit, and a vitamin D. When I'm sick I've been taking a Zinc and an Echinacea as well. The new elements to my regime in an immune booster, oregano oil and an Echinacea herbal sore throat spray (instead of the capsules I was taking before). The immune booster is going to become a normal part of my routine and the oregano oil might (I'm going to look for the pill form tho, the oil by it's self is really really nasty) Apparently oregano oil is really good for headaches and migraines as well as the omega-3. The lovely lady who provided me with all this information said she used to be a serious migraine sufferer and took a lot of oregano oil and omega-3 every day for a month straight and she's never had a problem since.

Same August day (after wash)

I've been doing the backing soda&salt wash treatment for several weeks now, I also started to do an apple cider vinegar treatment. I think it's coming along well.

A New School Year, A New School

I've been think lately about some things I want to do to get ready for school. I need to do some reading for one thing. I really need to brush up on the names of styles and cuts. I couldn't remember the name of a style of shelve, cap shelve. -_- I also should learn some of the popular designers :/ That's not something I've ever been good at. Well I have some books that I have collected over the years and I think I'm going to pick up some back issues of Vogue.
I've also been wanting to practice making clothing from patterns. I haven't really done that enough, and at some point in my program I know I'll be designing patterns @_@

I have one pattern already, but I'm not sure if it's too complicated to start with :/
I suppose I should just try, I'll do a trail one in broad cloth.
If anyone has an suggests of easy patterns for me to practice with I would love to do.

I have some fashion/jewellery, garden and food photos to edit and post :) That will happen over the next few days hopefully.

Summer is almost apon us

The other night was the super moon and Beltane. I feel asleep early so I didn't really end up observing. >.<
Summer's almost here and I'm look forward to working (sort of) and I have some projects I want to do.
It's been nice weather, I'm looking forward to starting my balcony garden. I'm also planning on decorating my room a bit and making some clothing (hopefully to sell :) ).

>>>>>>>>>>
(not my pic of the super moon, it's from national geographic) >>>>>>>

My roommate and I aren't moving anymore so this summer will be a little less stressful. All I have to concentrate on is saving money and having a good summer, before the 18 months of non-stop classes >.< But it'll be in Fashion Design so I'm really excited to get to work and sew. :) I'm planning on doing a few sewing project to get warmed up and practice sewing from patterns XD

I'm also planning on organizing my clothing ans accessories so it's easier to pick out my outfits in he morning. I have some plans drawn up and I'm going to go to home depot and ikea to pick up the stuff.
mirror, shelves, cork board and lights set up like a vanity
the wall above my bed

That's it for now
